The Hand Off

Well, the last step is to give the blanket to Debbie. How shall we do this? I think that a non-Bean hand off would be best, something very low key. I'll get a card together for Monday night, and we can all sign it.

Sew?

Aside from Renee, is there anyone else who is good at seaming and who wants to take a couple strips to sew together? All the horizontal strips are complete - there are 6 strips, so I only really need one (or two, if you're tired of seaming, Renee) volunteers. The sooner the blanket is together, the sooner Ronnie can get it and do her magique!

PLOTTING!

I'd like to start throwing around ideas for giving the blanket to Debibo. Any suggestions?
We need to make sure she can make it and that as many of us as possible are there. My feeling about the event is that is should be low-key. What does everyone else think?

Work in Progress

Here's the layout Torii put together last night:

(If you need to be Flickr friended to click through to the additional views available there, just let me know. )

Just in case anyone's wondering, I think we have done a fabulous job!

finished another square last night!

Torii has begun seaming, but it's not too late to get in your square!

Seaming! W00t!

We've got the makings of a blanket! Thanks, everyone, for answering the call so quickly. Once Suzette's squares arrive on Tuesday, we'll be all set for blanketdom!

Started the seaming last night - I'm starting by making horizontal strips, if that makes sense. We'll seam in one direction first, and then attach the strips together. That way, there is still a little wiggle room as far as placement, and things won't get too unwieldy.

Meg has pictures. : )

ETA: If you are already working on a square, keep going! We can just make the blanket that much longer! Wheee!
